Melifonwu had a great career at UCONN, where he played in 48 career games, notching 349 total tackles, 11.0 for loss, 8 interceptions, and 16 pass breakups. He has good size, is a sure fire tackler, a hard hitter, and very experienced. He is also good in coverage, and is a defensive play maker. He does not posses elite speed, but that does not hurt his game, and he does get beat by fast backs, and receivers at times while in coverage. With that said, and due to a nice Senior Bowl showing, I see him as a day 2 pick, somewhere in the 2nd round.
