Overview:

Johnson finished his career at Coastal Carolina, where he played in 50 career games, had 141 tackles, 12.5 for loss, 2 interceptions, 5 pass breakups, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovered. He has good size, great speed, and is a tackling machine. He was a defensive play maker, and a difference maker on defense. He is a good cover linebacker, a tough nosed player, and has good instincts. He is also a relentless defender, and a ferocious defender. He is a hard hitter, he gets good pressure on the quarterback, and is a good pass rusher. He is very physical, and does not back down. He is also very versatile, as he can lineup at linebacker, and safety. He also uses his speed to get through and around the offensive line when pursuing the ball carrier. On the other hand, he is not known as a sack guy as he did not have a sack in his college career, and he is not the biggest linebacker, so he could be seen as a safety/linebacker hybrid in the NFL. With that said, I view Johnson as a potential day 3 pick.
