Overview:

Mathis had a nice career at UW, posting 78 tackles, 15.5 of them for loss, and 9.0 sacks. He has good size, good speed, is very versatile, as he can line up at defensive end, in addition to outside linebacker. He is also a good pass rusher, and gets good pressure on the quarterback, despite the lack of sacks. On the other side, he has issues with big offensive lineman at times, and while he was productive, and a good tackler, he did not have as many as you would like. With that said, Mathis is a day 3 pick to me.
