Overview:

Staples had a very productive career at Louisville, where he played in 40 career games, he had 113 receptions, for 1901 receiving yards, and 10 receiving touchdowns, proving to be a play maker for the Cardinal. He has great size, he is very experienced, he is also a good route runner, and he is a great deep threat. He also consistently beats his defenders, he goes up and gets the ball, he is a great pass catcher, and he is sure handed. He is also a tough nosed player, he breaks tackles with ease, and he makes defenders miss with ease. He also is tough to take down, he fights for the ball, and he makes spectacular catches look easy. On the other hand, he does not have elite speed, but that does not hurt his game. With that said, I view Staples as a day 3 pick, likely in the mid round range when it is all said and done.
