Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Western Michigan RB Jarvion Franklin

Jarvion Franklin, RB, Western Michigan

Scouting Report:

Franklin finished his career at Western Michigan, where he played in 52 career games, had 942 rushes, for 4867 rushing yards, 52 rushing touchdowns, along with 61 receptions, for 670 receiving yards, and 4 receiving touchdowns. He has good size, he has good speed, and good vision. He is a tough runner, was a workhorse back for Western Michigan, and a scoring machine. He breaks tackles, makes defenders miss, and is tough to bring down. He is also a tough nosed player, and has good instincts. He is also a good overall blocking back, along with being a good pass catching back, and a very powerful back. On the other hand, he tends to get stuffed at times, he does struggle in the pass blocking game at times, and while he has good speed, he does not have elite running back speed, but that does not hurt his game. With that said, I view Franklin as a potential day 3 pick.
