Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: West Virginia RB Justin Crawford

Justin Crawford, RB, West Virginia

Scouting Report:

Crawford finished his career at West Virginia, where he played in 25 career games, had 354 rushes, for 2244 rushing yards, and 11 rushing touchdowns. He also had 22 receptions, for 106 receiving yards, and 1 receiving touchdowns. He has good size, he was a workhorse back for WVU, he has good speed, has good vision, and is a tough runner. He is a tough nosed player, and has good instincts. He breaks tackles, makes defenders miss, and is tough to bring down. He also does a good job of attacking the holes, and he does a good job of getting something out of nothing. He is a offensive play maker, a dynamic play maker, and a difference maker on offense. And he has a nice explosive burst, especially when he gets the ball with space to run. On the other hand, he is not known as a pass catching back, and has had issues with fumbling the ball in the past. With that said, I see Crawford being a day 3 pick when it is all said and done.
