Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Virginia Tech OLB Tremaine Edmunds

Tremaine Edmunds, OLB, Virginia Tech

Scouting Report:

Edmunds finished his career at Virginia Tech, where he played in 40 career games, had 226 tackles, 35.0 for loss, and 10.0 sacks. He also had 1 interceptions, 5 pass breakups, 4 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovered. He has great size, he has good speed, is a tackling machine, and a very relentless defender. He is also a good cover linebacker, he gets good pressure on the quarterback, and is a good pass rusher. He is a hard hitter, is a very physical defender, he uses his speed to get through the offensive line to get to the ball carrier, and he bull rushes his way through the offensive line. On the other hand, he is not known as a big sack guy. With all of that said, I see Edmunds being a 1st-round pick, and a potential top 10-15 pick when it is all said and done.
