Tim Settle, DT, Virginia Tech
Settle finished his career at Virginia Tech, where he played in 27 career games, had 53 tackles, 19.5 for loss, and 4.0 sacks. He also had 1 pass breakup. He has great size, he has good speed for his size, he is a solid tackler, and has good instincts. He is a hard hitter, a run stuffer, and is very powerful. He powers his way through the offensive line in pursuit of the ball carrier, he commands double teams, and is a disruptive defender. He gets good pressure on the quarterback, and is a good pass rusher. He gets a good push on the offensive line, and he does not get pushed around that easily at the line of scrimmage. On the other hand, he is still young, as he is only a redshirt-sophomore, he is not known as a big sack guy, and is just a 1-year starter. With all of that said, I see Settle being a early day 2 pick, likely being picked within the first 10-15 picks of the 2nd-round.
