Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Virginia DT Andrew Brown

Andrew Brown, DT, Virginia

Scouting Report:

Brown finished his career at Virginia, where he played in 41 career games, had 94 tackles, 26.5 for loss, and 10.5 sacks. He also had 4 pass breakups, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovered. He has great size, is a hard hitter, and a run stuffer. He is very relentless on defense, is a defensive play maker, and very powerful. He is also very versatile, as he can line up at defensive tackle, and defensive end. He also gets good pressure on the quarterback, and is a good pass rusher. He uses his power to get through the offensive line, and he does not get pushed around that easily at the line of scrimmage. On the other hand, he does not have great speed, but that does not hurt his game. With that said, I see Brown being a day 2 pick when it is all said and done.
