Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Vanderbilt RB Ralph Webb

Ralph Webb, RB, Vanderbilt

Scouting Report:

Webb finished his career at Vanderbilt, where he played in 49 career games, had 931 carries, for 4178 rushing yards, and 32 rushing touchdowns. He also had 68 receptions, for 572 receiving yards, and 3 receiving touchdowns. He has good speed, he has good vision, is a tough runner, and a patient back. He is a good redzone, and goal line back, an offensive play maker, and a dynamic play maker. He is a good pass catching back, was a workhorse back for Vanderbilt, a scoring machine, and is a good blocking back. He makes defenders miss, he breaks tackles with ease, and is tough to take dow.n. He is a tough nosed player, and has good instincts. He also waits for holes to open before attacking them, and he has a nice explosive burst off the line of scrimmage. On the other hand, he is not the tallest running back, but that does not hurt his game. With that said, I view Webb as a late round pick, with the chance to go undrafted.
