Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Utah DE Kylie Fitts

Kylie Fitts, DE, Utah

Scouting Report:

Fitts finished his career at Utah, where he played in 25 career games, had 68 tackles, 14.0 for loss, 11.5 sacks, 11 pass breakups, and 5 forced fumbles. He has good size, he has good speed, is a solid tackler, a tough nosed player, and has good instincts. He gets good pressure on the quarterback, and is a good pass rusher. He is a defensive play maker, and a difference maker on defense. He is also a relentless defender, and a ferocious defender. He is a hard hitter, a run stuffer, and he uses his speed and bull rushes his way through the offensive line in pursuit of the ball carrier. On the other hand, he has had injury issues in the past, as he missed all but 2 games in 2016, and while he has good speed, he does not have elite edge rush speed, but that does not hurt his game. With that said, I view Fitts as a late round pick.
