Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: UT-San Antonio CB Devron Davis

Devron Davis, CB, UT-San Antonio

Scouting Report:

Davis finished his career at UT-San Antonio, where he played in 24 career games, had 51, tackles, 6.0 for loss, 3 interceptions, 11 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble. He has great speed, he is a tackling machine, and a ball hawk. He is a solid cover cornerback, a defensive play maker, and a very relentless defender. He is a very physical cornerback, and does not back down. He is also a very ferocious defender, he has good instincts, and is a shut down cornerback. He is also a hard hitter, and his cover skills gives his front 7 enough time to get to the quarterback. On the other hand, he is not the tallest cornerback, but that does not hurt his game. With that said, I view Davis as a late day 2, to early day 3 pick when it is all said and done.
