Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: USC RB Ronald Jones II

Ronald Jones II, RB, USC

Scouting Report:

Jones II finished his career at USC by playing in 40 career games, where he had 591 rushes, for 3619 rushing yards, and 39 rushing touchdowns. He also had 32 catches, for 302 receiving yards, and 3 receiving touchdowns. He has good size, he has great speed, is a tough runner, has good vision, and has an explosive burst off the line of scrimmage. He is also a good pass catching back, he makes defenders miss with ease, he breaks tackles with ease, and is tough to bring down. He also attacks the holes, is a very patient back, as he waits for holes to open, is very elusive, and an all around dynamic play maker. On the other hand, he has issues in the pass blocking game, and he gets stuffed at times. With all of that said, I see Jones being a late 1st round pick, to early 2nd-round pick when it is all said and done.
