Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: UNLV WR Devonte Boyd

Devonte Boyd, WR, UNLV

Scouting Report:

Boyd finished his career at UNLV, where he played in 46 career games, had 198 receptions, for 3242 receiving yards, and 18 receiving touchdowns. He has good size, good speed, is a solid pass catcher, and is sure handed. He was a scoring machine, and a go-to receiver at UNLV. He also consistently beats his defender, he is an offensive play maker, and a dynamic play maker. He is a good route runner, a good blocking receiver, and is very elusive. He makes defenders miss with ease, and breaks tackles with ease. He is also a good deep threat, and a good redzone threat. On the other hand, he is a bit light, and while he has good speed, he does not have elite wide receiver speed, but that does not hurt his game. With that said, I view Boyd as a late round pick, with the chance of going undrafted.
