Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: UCLA ILB Kenny Young

Kenny Young, ILB, UCLA

Scouting Report:

Young finished his career at UCLA, where he played in 50 career games, had 304 tackles, 22.0 for loss, and 6.5 sacks. He also had 2 interceptions, 7 pass breakups, 2 forced fumbles, and 4 fumbles recovered. He has good size, he has good speed, is a tackling machine, is a hard hitter, anda run stuffer. He gets good pressure on the quarterback, and is a good pass rusher. He is also very relentless defender, has good instincts, and is a good cover linebacker. On the other hand, he is not known as a big sack guy, and while he has good speed, he does not have elite speed, but that does not hurt his game. With that said, I see Young being a day 3 pick when it is all said and done.
