Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Tennessee RB John Kelly

John Kelly, RB, Tennessee

Scouting Report:

Kelly finished his career at Tennessee, where he played in 33 career games, had 327 rushes, for 1573 rushing yards, 15 rushing touchdowns, along with 43 receptions, for 350 receiving yards. He has good speed, he was a workhorse back for Tennessee, he has good vision, and is a tough runner. He is a tough nosed player, an offensive play maker, and a dynamic play maker. He makes defenders miss, he breaks tackles, and is hard to take down. He is also a tough, and physical back. He is also a difference maker on offense, and a good pass catching back. On the other hand, he is not the tallest running back, but that does not hurt his game. With that said, I view Kelly as a late day 2, to early day 3 pick when it is all said and done.
