Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Southern Miss S Tarvarius Moore

Tarvarius Moore, S, Southern Miss

Scouting Report:

Moore, who finished his career at Southern Miss, played in 26 career games, had 104 tackles, 3.0 for loss, 5 interceptions, 12 pass breakups, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovered. He has good overall size, he has good speed, he was a tackling machine, and a ball hawk. He is a defensive play maker, and a difference maker on defense. He is a tough nosed player, and has good instincts. He is a hard hitter, and a solid cover defensive back. He is a relentless defender, and a ferocious defender. He is also very physical, and does not back down. On the other hand, he is not the tallest defensive back, he has issues with fast backs, and quarterbacks at times, and while he has good speed, he does not have elite defensive back speed, but that does not hurt his game. With that said, I view Moore as a day 3 pick when it is all said and done.
