Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: South Florida QB Quinton Flowers

Quinton Flowers, QB, South Florida

Scouting Report:

Flowers finished his career at South Florida, where he completed 566 passes, for 8130 passing yards, had 71 passing touchdowns, 23 interceptions, and a completion percentage of 57.7. He also had 598 rushes, for 3672 rushing yards, and 41 rushing touchdowns. He has great speed, he has a strong arm, he has good accuracy, is very elusive, and a very mobile quarterback. He has a good deep ball, is a tough nosed player, and has good instincts. He has good pocket awareness, he has a nice quick release, is a great read option quarterback, and knows how ton evade pressure while in the pocket. He can also make something out of nothing with his legs, and he is a dangerous quarterback when running with the ball. On the other hand, he is a smaller quarterback, and played primarily out of the shotgun. With that said, I view Flowers as a late round pick at best, but more than likely he goes undrafted, and he may end up having to switch to another position to be successful in the NFL.
