Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: South Florida ILB Auggie Sanchez

Auggie Sanchez, ILB, South Florida

Scouting Report:

Sanchez finished his career at South Florida, where he played in 49 career games, had 379 tackles, 28.0 for loss, 8.5 sacks, 4 interceptions, 12 pass breakups, 12 forced fumble, and 3 fumbles recovered. He has good size, he has good speed, and is a tackling machine. He is a hard hitter, and a run stuffer. He is also a defensive play maker, and a difference maker on defense. He is a very relentless defender, and a good cover linebacker. He gets good pressure on the quarterback, and is a good pass rusher. He also creates havoc on defense, is a tough nosed player, and has good instincts. On the other hand, he does have issues with fast running backs, and wide receivers at times. With that said, I see Sanchez being a day 3 pick.
