Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: San Jose State ILB Frank Ginda

Frank Ginda, ILB, San Jose State

Scouting Report:

Ginda finished his career at San Jose State, where he played in 38 career games, had 351 tackles, 29.0 for loss, 9.5 sacks, 1 interception, 4 pass breakups, 6 forced fumbles, and 2 fumbles recovered. He has good overall size, he has good speed, and was a tackling machine. He is a defensive play maker, and a difference maker on defense. He is also a tough nosed player, and has good instincts. He is also versatile, as he can play both outside linebacker, and inside linebacker. He gets good pressure on the quarterback, and is a good pass rusher. He is also a good cover linebacker. He is a very powerful, and physical linebacker. He is a very relentless defender, and a ferocious defender. He is also a hard hitter, and a run stuffer. On the other hand, he is not the tallest linebacker, and while he has good speed, he does not have elite linebacker speed, but that does not hurt his game. With that said I view Ginda as a day 3 pick when it is all said and done.
