Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Notre Dame OT Mike McGlinchey

Mike McGlinchey, OT, Notre Dame

Scouting Report:

McGlinchey, who finished his career at Notre Dame, has great size, is a good pass blocker, a good run blocker, and opens holes up for his backs. He is very powerful, and does a good job of bending his knees, showing his athleticism. He also easily pushes around defenders, gets a good push on the defensive line, and does not get pushed around that easily. He is a tough nosed player, has good instincts, and is a mauler. He also is very active using his hands, and arms to get leverage, and stop defenders from getting around him, and he does a good job of resetting his legs, and stopping the defender. On the other hand, he has issues with speedy edge rushers, and he does not have the best speed, but that does not hurt his game. With that said, I view McGlinchey as a 1st-round pick, and one of the first 4 Tackles taken.
