Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: N.C. State DT B.J. Hill

B.J. Hill, DT, N.C. State

Scouting Report:

Hill finished his career at N.C. State, where he played in 51 career games, had 185 tackles, 25.5 for loss, 9.0 sacks, 1 interception, 9 pass breakups, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 fumbles recovered. He has great size, is a tackling machine, is a tough nosed player, and has good instincts. He is also a hard hitter, and a run stuffer. He is also very powerful, and a defensive play maker. He gets good pressure on the quarterback, and is a good pass rusher. He also gets a good push on the offensive line, he powers his way through the offensive line in pursuit of the ball carrier, and he does not get pushed around that easily at the line of scrimmage. On the other hand, he has issues with fast quarterbacks, and running backs at times, but that does not hurt his game. With that said, I see Hill being a day 3 pick.
