Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Idaho QB Matt Linehan

Matt Linehan, QB, Idaho

Scouting Report:

Linehan finished his career at Idaho, where he played in 44 career games, had 897 completions, for 10752 passing yards, 62 passing touchdowns, 43 interceptions, and a completion percentage of 61.2. He also rushed the ball 338 times, for 313 rushing yards, and had 12 rushing touchdowns. He has good size, he has good speed, he has a strong arm, and has good accuracy. He is a very mobile quarterback, he can be dangerous as a runner, is a tough nosed player, and has good instincts. He also had a good deep ball, he has a nice quick release, and can make something out of nothing with his legs. He has good pocket awareness, he fits the ball into tight places with ease, and he knows how to evade pressure when in the pocket. On the other hand, he throws way too many interceptions, and he tends to overthrow, and underthrow his receivers. With that said, I view Linhean as a late round pick, but more than likely he will go undrafted.
