Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Florida WR Antonio Callaway

Antonio Callaway, WR, Florida

Scouting Report:

Callaway finished his career at Florida by playing in 26 career games, where he had 89 receptions, for 1399 receiving yards, and 7 receivng touchdowns. He has great speed, he consistently beats his defender, is a good route runner, and a good redone target. He had been a go-to receiver for the Gators, he is sure handed, and a great pass catcher. He fights for the ball, he also fights for every yard, and extra yards, and always seems to be wide open. He also makes spectacular catches look easy, he easily breaks tackles, and makes defenders miss with ease. He is also a special teams standout, as he is a dynamic punt returner. On the other hand, he is a bit undersized, and he has had off the field issues, as he was arrested for possession of Marijuana, which led to him being suspended for the entire 2017 season. With all of that said, Callaway has the makings of being a great player in the NFL, but the off the field issues may scare teams away, and push him down their boards. But I expect Callaway to end up being taken somewhere late on day 2, with the 4th round being the latest he goes.
