Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Florida DE Jordan Sherit

Jordan Sherit, DE, Florida

Scouting Report:

Sherit finished his career at Florida, where he played in 38 career games, had 88 tackles, 11.0 for loss, 7.5 sacks, 3 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble. He has good edge rush size, he has good speed, is a solid tackler, a tough nosed player, and has good instincts. He gets good pressure on the quarterbacks, despite the lack of sacks, and is a good pass rusher. He is also a very relentless defender, and a ferocious defender. He is also a hard hitter, and a run stuffer. He also gets a good push on the offensive line, and does not get pushed around that easily. On the other hand, while he has good speed, he does not have elite edge rush speed, but that does not hurt his game. With that said, I see Sherit as a late round pick.
