Jason’s Official 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Alabama CB Anthony Averett

Anthony Averett, CB, Alabama

Scouting Report:

Averett finished his career at Alabama, where he played in 36 career games, had 98 tackles, 7.0 for loss, 1 interception, 16 pass breakups, and 2 forced fumbles. He has good speed, is a solid tackler, is good in coverage, and has good size. He is very physical, and does not back down. He has good instincts, is a hard hitter, and also helps on special teams. On the other hand, he gets beat at times, and commits defensive pass interferences at times. He is also not known as a ball hawk. With that said, I see Averett being a day 2 pick when it is all said and done.
