2015 NFL Draft Team Needs

AFC East:

Buffalo Bills:

QB – The Bills brought in Matt Cassel, and have E.J. Manuel, but they could use someone to push Manuel for the right to be the franchise QB.

TE – The Bills brought in Charles Clay to be their starting TE, but they could use another solid TE to push Chrus Gragg and MarQuies Gray.

LB – The Bills could use help at both Outside and Inside Linebacker.

Miami Dolphins:

QB – While the Dolphins feel they have their franchise QB, they could use someone to push Josh Freeman for the 3rd QB job.

RB – Beyond Lamar Miller, the Dolphins have no real threat at RB, so getting someone who can share the load with Miller would be ideal.

WR – While the Dolphins do have 2 nice young WRs in Kenny Stills, and Jarvis Landry, I can see them adding someone who would be their 3rd/4th WR.

DE – Now that Dion Jordan has been suspended for the entire 2015 season, DE becomes a need, either for a legit starter, or for someone to share time in the rotation.

LB – The Dolphins could use an upgrade at OLB over guys like Jelani Jenkins, and Jordan Tripp.

CB – The Dolphins need to find an impact CB to go opposite Brent Grimes.

New England Patriots:

RB – The Patriots lost both Steven Ridley, and Shane Vereen in the offseason, so finding another back to go with LeGarrette Blount would be ideal.

WR – They could use another young WR to go with the likes of Julian Edelman, Aaron Dobson, and Brandon LaFell.

TE – The Pats could use another TE to go with Rob Gronkowski, and to push Tim Wright.

DB – Even though the Patriots are set at CB and Safety, it wouldn’t hurt to add some quality depth and youth to this group.

New York Jets:

QB – The Jets have been linked to Jameis Winston, who likely goes #1 overall, but still they need to find someone to push Geno Smith.

CB – They could use some depth behind Darrelle Revis, and Buster Skrine.

FS – The Jets could use someone to push Antonio Allen at FS.

AFC North:

Baltimore Ravens:

RB – The Ravens let go of Ray Rice, and for good reasons, but they need to find someone who can be an every down back.

WR – They lost Torrey Smith in the offseason, so they are in need of a #2 WR.

TE – Beyond Dennis Pitta, the Ravens have little help at TE, so this is a definite need.

NT – The Ravens have a nice young NT in Brandon Williams, but they could still use someone to back him up after they traded away Haloti Ngata in the offseason.

CB – They locked up Jimmy Smith, their former 2011 1st-round pick, and now they could use another top tier CB to go with him, as Lardarius Webb has a high cap number, and could be let go at any time.

FS – While Terrence Brooks is a nice Safety, they could use someone to push him at FS.

Cincinnati Bengals:

TE – The Bengals have a serious need at TE after losing Jermaine Gresham in the offseason.

C – The Bengals could use a talented Center to go on the offensive line.

CB – Even though Dre Kirkpatrick, and Leon Hall are their starters, they could use someone to be their 3rd CB, and possibly push an injury prone Hall.

FS – They could use someone to push Reggie Nelson at FS.

Cleveland Browns:

QB – Even though the Browns brought in Josh McCown, and drafted Johnny Manziel in 2014, they really need to find the answer at QB long term.

RB – Beyond Terrance West, the Browns have no threat at RB.

WR – The Browns have past up some big name WRs in the past few drafts, namely Sammy Watkins, so getting a true #1 WR is a huge need.

TE – They lost Jordan Cameron in the offseason, and signed Rob Housler to a 1-year deal, so finding a starting TE is a need.

OT – They could use another bookend to go with Left Tackle Joe Thomas.

DE – The Browns could use some much needed depth at DE.

Pittsburgh Steelers:

RB – Even though they added DeAngelo Williams, he isn’t a long term answer behind Le’Veon Bell.

TE – Heath Miller is still going, but they need to find a long term answer to fill his shoes one day.

OLB – They could use another OLB to go with Jarvis Jones.

CB – This is a need after the retirement of Ike Taylor.

AFC South:

Houston Texans:

QB – While this isn’t a huge need, the Texans still need to find out who their franchise QB will be.

RB – Beyond Arian Foster, they have no big threat at RB.

TE – They could use another TE to go with C.J. Fiedorowicz.

OT- They could use a Tackle to push Tyson Clabo and Derek Newton.

DE – The Texans do have J.J. Watt, but they could use another impact pass rusher at DE.

ILB – Beyond Brian Cushing, the Texans could use another ILB.

CB – They could use a solid 3rd CB behind Johnathan Joseph and Kareem Jackson.

Indianapolis Colts:

QB – This is a secondary need, but the Colts need a future backup to Andrew Luck.

RB – Even though they added Frank Gore, they could use someone to take over for him in a year or two.

OLB – They could use some depth behind Trent Cole, and Robert Mathis.

CB – They could use a solid 3rd CB behind Vontae Davis, and Greg Toler.

S – They brought in Mike Adams to play SS, but they could use some depth at both Safety spots.

Jacksonville Jaguars:

QB – It’s clear Blake Bortles is the future, but it would be nice to have a quality young backup.

WR – With the future of Justin Blackmon in question, it would be wise to get another WR to go with Marquise Lee, and Allen Robinson.

OT – They could use a swing Tackle.

DL – They could use some depth, and maybe a top notch DE/DT.

OLB – While I like Dan Skuta, I don’t see him as a long term answer as a rush OLB, so this would be a huge need to add a pure pass rushing OLB.

CB – Beyond Davon House, they have little to no help at CB, so this is a need.

Tennessee Titans:

QB – The Titans have to ask themselves if Zach Mettenberger is the true franchise QB, and if not, then they must get one, and maybe as high as #2 overall.

WR – They could use another nice threat at WR to go with Kendall Wright, and Justin Hunter, and to push Hakeem Nicks, and Harry Douglas.

OL – Their starting line is fine, they could use some quality backups, who can come in and help in a pinch.

DL – They could use some depth, and some guys to push their current starters along the d-line.

OLB – It would be nice for them to add a stud pass rushing OLB to push Kamerion Wimbley, and others.

AFC West:

Denver Broncos:

WR – The Broncos could use another WR to replace Wes Welker, who hasn’t been brought back at this point.

TE – After losing Julius Thomas, this is a need for sure.

OL – They could depth all over the o-line.

DT – They could use someone to help replace the departure of Terrence Knighton.

ILB – They could use a serious upgrade at ILB.

Kansas City Chiefs:

WR – The Chiefs could use another WR to go with Jeremy Maclin, and to replace Dwayne Bowe, who was let go this offseason.

TE – Beyond Travis Kelce, they have little help at TE.

OL – Honestly they have a good starting o-line, but they could use some depth.

DL – They could use someone to push Jerel Worthy at DT, and some depth at DE.

OLB – They could use someone at OLB in case they ever decide to let Tamba Hali go.

CB – They could use some depth at CB, and some help as a 3rd CB.

SS – With the unfortunate news of Eric Berry, the Chiefs could use a new starting SS.

Oakland Raiders:

RB – The Raiders no longer have Darren McFadden, so getting someone to help fill that void would be huge.

WR – They did add Michael Crabtree, but they need a true #1 WR.

DL – They could use an impact pass rushing DE, and a run stuffing DT.

OLB – They could use another pass rushing OLB to go with last years 1st-round pick Khalil Mack.

ILB – Even though they brought in Curtis Lofton, it would be nice for them to get a solid backup, who could push for playing time.

CB – Beyond D.J. Hayden, they don’t have much at CB, as the experiments with Carlos Rogers, and Tarrel Brown didn’t work out, so this is a huge need.

FS – Charles Woodson isn’t getting any younger, so a young FS would be a plus.

San Diego Chargers:

QB – The questions coming out of San Diego is will Philip Rivers remain in SD long term, if not, then they need to fine a replacement.

WR – Even though they added Keenan Allen recently, and Stevie Johnson in the offseason, they could use another young WR.

C – They could use a solid Center to push Chris Watt.

NT – The Chargers need to find a solid NT to anchor their defensive line for years to come.

OLB – Even though they picked up Melvin Ingram’s 5th-year option, they could use someone to push him for his spot, as his option isn’t guaranteed until the beginning of the 2016 new league year.

CB – They could use another young CB to go with Jason Verrett.

FS – Eric Weddle isn’t reporting for voluntary workouts, so it might be time to look for a replacement.

NFC East:

Dallas Cowboys:

QB – Last year their was a rumor that Jerry Jones wanted Johnny Manziel, and I can see him looking for a potential replacement for a aging Tony Romo.

RB – Even though though they added Darren McFadden, they need to find a suitable replacement for DeMarco Murray.

DL – They could use some solid depth on the d-line.

ILB – They did add Jasper Brinkley, but he isn’t the long term option at ILB, and with Sean Lee being moved to OLB, this is a bigger need now.

CB – With Brandon Carr and Orlando Scandrick getting older, this could be a need.

New York Giants:

TE – Larry Donnell is a nice TE, but they could use a solid #2 TE behind him.

OL – They could use some depth, and some guys to possibly push guys like Will Beatty, and Geoff Schwartz.

DE – This is a need if Jason Pierre-Paul continues to refuse to sign his franchise tender, and they could use some depth here.

DB – They could use some serious help in the Safety department, and some depth at CB.

Philadelphia Eagles:

QB – Sure the Eagles brought in Sam Bradford, and retained Mark Sanchez, but they need a legit long term answer.

WR – Beyond Jordan Matthews, and Riley Cooper, there isn’t much there.

TE – They could use a better 3rd TE.

OG – They could use someone to push Evan Mathis at Guard.

DE – This is only a need if they do trade away Fletcher Cox.

NT – They could use a better option at NT.

LB – They could use some depth, and there is the rumor of them shopping Mychal Kendricks, so this could be a need come draft day.

Washington Redskins:

QB – I don’t expect them to add one of the top QBs, but they need to determine if Robert Griffin III is the franchise QB, or if someone else is better in that position.

RB – Beyond Alfred Morris they don’t have much of an impact at RB.

WR – They could use a young WR to add to their corps, especially if Pierre Garcon isn’t in their long term plans.

OT – They could look at a Tackle if they don’t feel they can retain Trent Williams, or if they don’t view him as their future LT.

NT – They signed Terrance Knighton, but they could use someone for the future.

OLB – They do have Ryan Kerrigan, but they lost Brian Orakpo, so this is a need.

CB – Even with the addition of Chris Culliver, they could still use someone to push DeAngelo Hall.

NFC North:

Chicago Bears:

QB – Is Jay Cutler the answer, that’s what the Bears need to ask themselves, if not, then you look for a better option.

WR – They dealt away Brandon Marshall, so WR is a need.

C – They could use a Center to push Will Montgomery.

DE – Jared Allen isn’t getting any younger, and he isn’t exactly all pro anymore, so DE is a need.

CB – They need to find someone to replace an aging Tim Jennings, and just someone to go with former 1st-rounder Kyle Fuller.

S – They did add Antrel Rolle, but they could use a better long term option.

Detroit Lions:

RB – The Lions need to find a replacement for Reggie Bush.

WR – They could use a good 3rd WR to go with Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate.

OL – They could use both depth, and players to push their current starters.

DT – They need to find a replacement for either Ndamukong Suh or Nick Fairley, as they did bring in Haloti Ngata.

CB – They don’t really have a shut down CB, so this is a need.

Green Bay Packers:

RB – They could use someone behind Eddie Lacy.

WR – They could use another young WR to be their 4th WR.

OL – Their starters are solid, so they just need some depth.

NT – They need a long term answer at NT, as B.J. Raji just isn’t that.

ILB – They let go of A.J. Hawk, so an ILB would be a plus.

CB – They lost Tramon Williams, so adding another quality CB would be a plus.

Minnesota Vikings:

QB – They could use a solid #2 QB for the future behind Teddy Bridgewater.

RB – This is a need if they do decide to move Adrian Peterson.

WR – Even with the addition of Mike Wallace, they need to add another young WR.

OG – They let Charles Johnson go this offseason, so getting a quality OG to battle for his spot is a need.

OLB – Chad Greenway is on his way out, high salary, and getting older, so getting a replacement is a need.

ILB – Someone to battle for the starting spot would be nice at ILB for them.

CB – They could use another top notch CB to go with Xavier Rhodes.

SS – Someone to battle with Robert Blanton would be ideal.

NFC South:

Atlanta Falcons:

WR – Someone to eventually replace an aging Roddy White would be ideal, plus White hasn’t been the best WR on their team since they added Julio Jones in 2011.

OL – Some depth would ne a welcomed addition.

DE – Someone to replace the unsigned Osi Umenyiora would be a nice move to make.

ILB – They really could use a solid ILB to push for playing time.

Carolina Panthers:

WR – They could use another solid young WR to go with Kelvin Benjamin.

TE – A #2 TE to go with Greg Olsen would be nice.

OL – Just getting depth, and guys who can come in when needed would ne a huge plus.

DE – They could use someone to help fill the void left by the departure of Greg Hardy.

CB – They added Charles Tillman, but he isn’t getting any younger, so CB is a need.

FS – Getting someone at FS to push for the starting spot would be ideal.

New Orleans Saints:

QB – The Saints need to find a solid #2 QB

RB – They could use a 3rd RB

WR – This is a need after they dealt Kenny Stills to Miami.

TE – They dealt Jimmy Graham, while Josh Hill is a nice young TE, they do need a #1 TE. And they could us a upgrade over Ben Watson.

OG – After dealing Ben Grubbs in the offseason, this is a need.

DE – They could use someone to push Akeem Hicks at DE.

NT – They could use someone to push John Jenkins for the #2 NT spot.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers:

QB – The Mike Glennon experiment, and adding Josh McCown last year didn’t work out, so this is a big need, and they probably add a QB with the 1st overall pick.

RB – While I like Charles Sims, I think they need an upgrade over Doug Martin.

WR – They added a nice WR in Mike Evans, but Vincent Jackson isn’t getting any younger, so this is a need.

OL – They could use some depth, and guys to push the starters.

DE – They could use help at DE, as Adrian Clayborn left in free agency.

ILB – They could use help after losing Mason Foster this offseason.

FS – While Chris Conte is a serviceable Safety, they could use someone to push him for playing time.

NFC West:

Arizona Cardinals:

OT – They could use a solid Tackle to go along with Jared Veldheer.

DT – They lost Darnell Dockett in the offseason, so they could use someone to help fill the void, plus they also lost Dan Williams in the offseason.

OLB – They could use some help at OLB, as LaMarr Woodley is nothing more than a stop gap.

CB – Beyond Patrick Peterson, they could use some help at CB.

St. Louis Rams:

QB – I like Nick Foles, but they should still look for a true franchise QB.

OG – With Greg Robinson now moving to LT, this is a need.

OT – They let go of Jake Long, so adding another Tackle would be ideal.

DB – Depth in the defensive backfield would be ideal.

San Francisco 49ers:

QB – Finding a true #2 QB is ideal.

RB – Getting someone to push Kendall Hunter for the 3rd RB job would be nice.

WR – They added Torrey Smith, and have Anquan Boldin, but Bruce Ellington, and Quinton Patton are unproven, so this is a huge need.

OG – They could use a Guard to brace for a future without Alex Boone.

DE – This is a need even if Justin Smith returns, as they need someone to take over for him whenever he decides to hang it up.

NT – They could use a young NT for the future.

OLB – They could use help at OLB, especially if Aldon Smith isn’t retained after 2015, and if Ahmad Brooks is let go of.

ILB – With the retirements of Patrick Willis, and Chris Borland, this is a huge need.

CB – The 49ers ost Chris Culliver, and Perrish Cox in the offseason, and added a sub par Shareece Wright, so adding a shut down CB would be ideal for the 49ers.

S – Overall they have nice starting Safeties, but getting a quality backup or two would be nice.

Seattle Seahawks:

QB – They need a better #2 QB behind Russell Wilson.

WR – They could use another young WR to go with Doug Baldwin, and Paul Richardson.

DT – They could use an upgrade over Brandon Mebane here.

OLB – They could use some depth here.

CB – They could use some help to replace Byron Maxwell.
